I get it.
Maybe you are in middle school, high school, maybe you are braving it out in the workplace and you feel the sting of rejection among your peers.
It gets hard sometimes, but just remember girls like us are different.
Girls like us tend to not be concerned with the status quo. We’re not “keeping up with the Joneses,” and we’re definitely not living our lives to impress everyone else.
Consider yourself free, something a lot of people would kill for.
You see a lot of people would love to feel free from the pressures of society, yet they can’t seem to break out of the bondage in their minds. They constantly go through the day worried about what everyone around them thinks about them.
(Grab your copy of “Becoming a Proverbs 31 Woman” below!)
Can I just be honest with you? I promise their opinion doesn’t matter. It never did, and it never will.
It only matters as much as you let it. It’s not your business what others think of you. Don’t confine yourself to that type of prison in your mind.
Just because you don’t fit in doesn’t mean you are not every bit as beautiful, talented, or smart as them.
As a matter of fact, there is something so special and unique about you that sets you apart. It’s time to get busy worrying about what God thinks of you instead of these people around you.
God has set you apart for a reason. You are called to stand out, to be different. You are called to set a new trend, to pave a new way. You are called to do something others are scared out of their minds to do.
So in this period where you feel rejected, uninvited, unloved, and like you’ve never really fit in, please remember this; God is shaping and molding you into the person you are supposed to be. He has such an enormous work to do within you, that the things of this world may prove to be a distraction from your calling.
You may be in this world, but you are not of it. God may have you in his hiding place right now, but I promise you that is where His greatest work is done. You are going to move mountains. You are going to reach people.
You are going to be what they all said you would never be.
Just prove that to yourself and let God handle the rest. Walk in confidence today that you are a woman of God, destined for such a time as this.
Love you guys,
