Why It’s Important to Pray for your Future Spouse
By: Tiffany Langford
I am currently working on a free e-book that I will be offering soon (subscribe to my website in order for it to go straight to your email-don’t forget to confirm subscription!) It will be a devotional on how to pray for your future husband.
A question that I am asked often is, “Why is it important to pray for the person I will marry someday?”
Before I gave my heart to Christ, I had never even heard of praying for my future husband, let alone waiting for him. But as I fell more and more in love with God, He began to reveal His will to me, that He could, given my cooperation, provide someone so much better for me than I could go out and find myself.
I began writing letters to my future husband. I become okay with being single. I let God love on me, and I embraced the beautiful romance with my Jesus.

Many times it become so hard, I wanted to do things my way, but praying for my future husband played a huge role in helping me wait for the one God had for me.
Praying for your future husband/wife is the best thing you can do for them, even if you are still in your season of singleness. Prayer can change the entire course of history.
When you decide to commit your ways to God and allow Him to bless you as He chooses, you are not only setting yourself up for blessings, but also for generations to come after you.
Prayer connects you with that person, even if you do not know them yet. Praying for my future husband got me through the discouragement, and helped me to hold onto God’s promises for my life.
I am so thankful that God cares about every single detail of our lives. There is nothing too small or inadequate for Him. The hopes and dreams you hold in your heart, God cares about.
